Accuphase E-550 Integrated Amplifier

The E-530, which attracted much attention as Accuphase's first "pure Class A integrated amplifier" and was highly praised for its excellent performance and sound quality, has been fully redesigned and born as a top-of-the-line integrated amplifier.

The E-550 incorporates the latest technology and the highest-grade materials, and is the first integrated amplifier to feature the revolutionary "AAVA volume control." By increasing the integration density of AAVA circuits and components, we have solved the capacity problem and succeeded in achieving the same basic performance as the conventional AAVA.

The power amplifier section uses power MOS FETs with attractive tones as output elements, and is driven by 3-parallel push-pull pure Class A operation, pursuing thorough "low impedance" of the amplifier output and "constant voltage drive" of the speakers.

The power supply section uses a 430VA high-power capacity toroidal transformer, and the output power is 120W/2Ω, 60W/4Ω, and 30W/8Ω per channel, allowing you to obtain linear output values ​​in response to changes in load impedance.
