The DAC section has been completely revamped based on the latest platform of Grandioso K1. It uses Asahi Kasei Electronics' 32-bit DAC chip "AK4493". It has a parallel/differential circuit configuration with four circuits per channel, improving linearity and reducing distortion. It uses a "34-bit D/A processing algorithm" that combines multiple 32-bit DAC devices to convert 34-bit high-resolution PCM signals to analog signals. In addition to the original PCM signal, it can be upconverted to 2/4/8/16 times (up to 768kHz). It also has a conversion function from PCM to DSD 22.5MHz. In addition, you can choose to turn the DSD digital filter on or off. The driver and playback software "ESOTERIC HR Audio Player" can be downloaded for free from the company's website. Supports playback of DSD 22.5MHz and PCM 768kHz/32bit, and also supports Bulk Pet transmission method. The output buffer circuit has been upgraded to the proprietary current transmission enhanced "ESOTERIC-HCLD". High-speed elements with a slew rate of 2,000V/μs are used, and two circuits of this buffer circuit are installed per channel. XLR output is differential, and RCA output is parallel. The power supply section has also been improved. A powerful power supply circuit combines a large toroidal transformer, a newly designed custom capacitor, and a large-capacity super capacitor EDLC (Electric Double-Layer Capacitor) of 330,000μF (0.33F), providing stable and clean power to each circuit block. The clock circuit is equipped with a custom VCXO (voltage controlled crystal oscillator) exclusively for the K-05Xs. It has a large crystal piece built in, has low phase noise, and is a highly accurate clock of ±0.5ppm. The BNC terminal can also be used to connect to an external clock, and by connecting to a master clock generator such as the G-02X, you can upgrade the sound quality. Playback can be synchronized with an external clock even when using USB input.
