The proprietary high-quality IEEE1394 (i.LINK) circuit supports flow rate control. Combine with a multi-channel DAC or surround AV amplifier with an i.LINK input that supports flow rate control to enjoy surround playback with high-quality digital transmission of Super Audio CD.

The DAC device is equipped with two DAC devices: a DSD/PCM compatible DAC (AD1955) made by Analog Devices, and a multi-bit DAC (PCM1704) made by Burr-Brown. The DA converter has three types of DAC modes (multi-bit/1-bit/DSD), and there is also a function that allows you to select your preferred sound quality depending on the source. During playback, the AD1955 is used for DSD signal processing in the case of Super Audio CD and DSD conversion, and in the case of CD, the PCM1704, which has a good reputation in the X-01 series, is operated in differential mode with a 4-chip configuration per channel for PCM signal processing, resulting in high-quality sound in both cases.

By using Analog Devices' DSD/PCM compatible DAC (AD1955) for the analog output of audio surround, not only is the sound quality the same for all channel playback, but high-quality, high-quality analog sound playback is also possible.
