With the DJM-A9, we have made further improvements to the sound quality of the DJM-900NXS2, which has been well received by professionals. Equipped with ESS Technology's 32-bit high-performance A/D converter for the channel input, we have achieved natural and realistic sound quality that allows you to comfortably listen to music of all genres without excessive coloring. In addition, by using the same company's 32-bit high-performance D/A converters for the MASTER and BOOTH output sections, DJ performances can be performed while monitoring sound with the same high resolution as the audience in the booth. In the microphone input section and headphone output section as well, sound quality has been improved by reselecting components and performing optimal tuning.

We thoroughly pursued the playability as a musical instrument. By increasing the space between the EQ knobs, you can now operate them more comfortably. In addition, since the DJM-900NXS2 uses higher-quality channel faders and crossfaders, smoother and more detailed mixes and scratch performances are possible. Furthermore, SOUND COLOR FX is equipped with the world's first CENTER LOCK KNOB. A special mechanism that locks at the center position when the knob is turned allows you to add dynamic and precise effects.

The BEAT FX section has also undergone a major overhaul from previous models to improve the effect performance experience. Equipped with a color display that allows you to accurately grasp the effect status, and by arranging the X-PADs in a horizontal row, you can operate effects more intuitively than ever before.

In addition, you can now select the channel directly with the button, so you can quickly apply effects to the desired channel. A total of 14 types of BEAT FX are built-in, including three newly added types.

The microphone section has also evolved significantly to improve microphone performance during streaming and MC during DJing. This is the first DJ mixer equipped with phantom power, allowing a condenser microphone to be directly connected to this unit. In addition, since it is equipped with three types of microphone effects and REVERB, a wide range of sound processing is possible by combining them.

For connection with PC/Mac, the top panel has two USB terminals of both USB Type-B and Type-C. There is also a Bluetooth input that can be assigned to each channel, so you can add EQ and effect operations on the DJM-A9 to the sound source being played on your mobile device.

This unit can perform DJ performances using rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro. It also supports the DVS function of each software*.

In addition, this unit supports the industry's first PRO DJ LINK management application "Stagehand" for sound engineers. Since the DJM-A9 is equipped with Wi-Fi, you can connect it wirelessly with your iPad by combining it with a wireless LAN router (commercially available). Since the DJM-A9's level meter and operation information can be grasped on the iPad at hand, highly accurate sound settings and quick troubleshooting can be performed remotely.
