The GND complete separation technology achieved in the P-3 preamplifier has been applied to the A-3, which has a power amplifier circuit.

Originally, how to ground the GND of a power amplifier that handles large currents to the case is a key design issue, and there is no precedent for a non-grounded GND. However, by using a simple non-feedback circuit, optimized artwork design, minimizing large current loops, eliminating inductance components, etc., we were able to achieve a non-grounded power amplifier case, which resulted in the birth of the A-3 integrated amplifier with completely separated left and right GNDs.

In addition, by separating the control signals of each relay, such as the selector, volume, and protection circuit, with a photocoupler, we have achieved complete GND separation that takes into account capacitance and inductive components. The three-dimensional sound field space and open feeling are a new frontier for integrated amplifiers.

■4-stage Darlington configuration with ultra-powerful driver and pre-driver

To easily drive the TO3 (metal can type) transistor, ultra-powerful TO3P transistors are used in the driver and even the pre-driver. By perfecting current supply all the way to the bottom end, regardless of hfe fluctuations at high currents, we have achieved both deep expressiveness and an exciting sense of groove.
