It was planned to commemorate the cumulative production of 3 million units of the SL-1200 series. Limited release of 3,000 units worldwide
24K gold plating is used extensively on the tone arm etc. The top surface has a glossy black finish and is also equipped with a commemorative plate engraved with a limited edition serial number.
Other specifications are the same as SL-1200MK5G. Adopts a D.D. (direct drive) motor that integrates the turntable and motor rotor (stator), reaching constant speed rotation in 0.7 seconds. A quartz synthesizer is used for rotation control. The starting torque is 1.5kg・cm.
It uses a "horizontal weight adjustment mechanism" that adds an adjustment mechanism to the arm mount, achieving both high sensitivity and prevention of needle skipping. The tone arm uses an S-shaped static balance gimbal suspension system. In addition, the sound quality has been improved by using OFC (oxygen-free copper) for the signal line.
Applicable cartridge weight is 3.5 to 13g. The stylus pressure adjustment range is 0 to 4g. The external dimensions are 453 x 360 x 172 mm (width x depth x height), and the weight is 11.7 kg.
